My idea for the indy baby expo is, a carictures. I think they are a very humorous way to express people.
Thanks
Amanda
Hi, I wanted to input some ideas, well for right now I would like to see a baby massage class.
I think that a babysitter watch there would be good. The highschoolers from diffrent schools, (mckenzie carreer center is one) it would be a good idea to call them and see if anyone would like to voluntter their time at the baby expo, because they do get credit from school.... anyways they could watch the babies in one area and right next to the area or whatever have massaging, jewelry cleaning, pedicures and manicures, and a table set up for moms to eat and chat.
Samantha
I would like to see toddler sports,
children from 3 or 4 on.
Jennifer
would like to make another idea....maybe a free concert for little ones like a costume character show.
Face Painting and Balloons.
Pictures with with an animal or with a character.
Samantha
This Lady is comming to my daughter 12 th Birthday Party to draw the Children, itis like a Caricature but so much cuter...I will attache a Picture she did of my little one....she is reasonable and does many things. Imagine a drawing like that from your Newborn baby!! How cute is that...so check it out at

Of course car seat safety is a huge deal when you have a child. I would like to see some certified car seat techs there that can go out to your car or schedule a separate appointment with you to have a car seat checked and also lots and lots of info around everywhere about practicing extended rear facing with car seats and encouraging parents to practice extended harnessing with older children.
I would like to have seen someone there with car seats. For example, I was hoping to talk to someone about the next stage car seat for my 3 ½ year old, maybe sit her in some to get a feel and fit. I have since went to Babies R Us to talk to someone and have purchased a car seat.

have just recently heard of a company called Taggies. The make baby blanket, toys, and some clothes. The baby blankets have tags on the outside of the blanket. Babies are fascinated with tags and this gives the baby a blanket and tags.

I would have liked to see more food/nutritional information for mom and baby. There are so many cool companies out there that have great ideas on making food for baby, store bought food for babies and toddlers and companies that cater to moms. Information on what to eat to lose weight, maintain milk supply, increase energy, good for you grab and go snacks that aren't your traditional 100 calorie packs etc.
there are also other areas I would like to see down there that I just don't know much about, Baby massage, baby yoga, baby and toddler chiropractors etc.

enjoyed attending the Baby Expo this year; however, I was disappointed in the amount of products/clothing for boys. There was plenty of baby girl clothing (which was adorable) but very few booths that had anything for boys. I would attend again if I knew there would be more products for boys.
Sincerely,
Kristie
If you could provide more information on growth and development and also maybe more vendors with affordable products. Most of the ones on display were very expensive and not within the budget of a middle-class single mom of 3. Also a lot of things were not geared towards boys, more towards baby girls.
Yvette
First of all we had a great time and we are very happy that we were able to attend!
One suggestion we have is that there be more things there for toddlers to do. My 2 year old was bored out of his mind. The play area was great but I think there should be a couple more things. Like maybe a coloring area, or bouncer or maybe balloon animals.

I have a few suggestions for your next baby expo. First, maybe having a baby station based or developed around advice …from experienced parents would be something very helpful. There could be forms filled out at Babies R Us by parents who are experienced in the upcoming scary world of parenting. There are millions of unanswered questions that people have about raising children, and who would be better to ask than parents. Plus there are millions of fabulous ideas that parents create when trying to make the challenging task easier….This information could be handed out, as a booklet for people coming into the expo, or just a station that people walking by could come up and read. Either way, I think this would be an awesome thing to have. Actually I think that babies R us should consider making a magazine for parents. They could hand out forms or surveys to parents and make a magazine about it…I think it would be a huge hit!! Plus, it could have advertisements about current sales babies r us is having. Not to mention, the millions of other things that you guys have. Like for example the mothers baby shower day….there are a lot of things babies r us hosts..that I would never know about, if I weren’t to be already in the store the day of.
My next suggestion would be a station for mothers whose husbands are gone away on Military duty. Or better yet, for military moms. It is a very stressful situation for mothers, and a station based on this would be helpful. There are many programs for parents out there, and plus moms could meet other moms who are going through the same thing…emotionally and physically. This could be very informative for parents dealing with these kind of issues. This could be a very special station for parents!
Angela
I would have a public place where you list winners of
drawings. It was too noisy to hear the announcements.
Kristy
Safety on toys and recall information.
April
We would like to see more information on adoption, ideas for "gotcha Day' (including some older children); adoption themes, books, etc.
Sarah
I want to first say that my sister and I attented the Expo together, and we loved it ! But, we are both breastfeeding mothers and I think there should be more on breastfeeding. Maybe lactation consultants there or more information and the facts or breastfeeding and how simple it really is. I think maybe just a booth about Breastfeeding basics would be nice for those "mothers -to -be "
Thank you. Alicia
I have a couple Ideas
1.} I would love a Cooking with the family or cooking for babies and how to get the kids involve I'm just now getting into cooking and my husband and I would love new and healthy ideas Indy has some cooking classes and we have that new cooking School
http://bloomingtoncookingschool.com/
2.} I also thought maybe what if Great Clips or a local Hair Salon came in and offered free kids hair cuts!!!!!! Maybe mom could get one ( not for free)!
3.} Also What if the Indiana tourism came in and showed Families Fun things to do in the State.
http://www.in.gov/visitindiana/
4.} Indy parks--- Could Show the Type of Classes they offer( I know some are free) They have Mommy and Me swimming Classes and Dance Classes!!!
http://www.indygov.org/eGov/City/DPR/home.htm
5.} Okay last one- maybe Ray's trash came in or another local trash collector to show how to have a greener home. They offer at your home Pick up recycling. They could just some people what they can do it's the little things that make a difference. http://www.recycleindiana.com/

I thought of this one after I hit send, but another thing that would have been nice to see is more vendors for baby toys, equipment and supplies. There were many booths for women like candles, body products and massages, but besides the HUGE Babies'R'Us displayy, there were only a few other vendors where you could actually get samples of or purchase baby toys or supplies. When you combine pregnant moms who are baby-gaga, with money burning holes in our pockets 'cause we wanna shop for our babies, that could make for a very successful expo.

Hi there! I have a baby girl, but I attended with my girlfriend who has a son. We noticed that a lot of the products were geared towards baby girls, for example hair bows, etc. I am not sure what products are more towards boys, but it seemed a little uneven? Just a thought!
Miranda
Maybe babyshower games, w/prizes. It is something fun, and most importantly, interactive for existing and expecting mom's to participate in during the expo.
Sheila
I would have liked to see a large variety of strollers, I am getting ready to have my second child this fall and would have liked to see a variety of double strollers. I would have also like to see more on breast feeding and pump recommendations. Thanks,
Tasha
They had carictures there last time! me and my baby girl got one done it was free!!!! It is in her room it is super cute!
I thought the set up was good.
I did attend the car seat demo and thought that was great. I think more short demos would be helpful, especially for first time parents.
Perhaps if there could be a Lamaze instructor with info classes and what to expect. All area hospitals have such people. Breast feeding with the pumps and instructor as well.
How to open and shut those crazy strollers.
The only comment I have regarding the goods for sale were the boy choices were scarce and I know that is individual vendors, but perhaps that could be relayed. We were looking to spend money as all first time parents are.
Thanks
Kim
I thought that it was a great start... I would like to see more reasonable priced vendors. It seemed that some of them were high-end. Also more boy stuff, so many vendors and clothing stores only carry girls.. It is hard to find fun, affordable and fashionable items for boys.
Rachel
I really enjoyed the baby expo but would have liked to see more information on baby safety and general information for expectant mothers rather than all the sales. A little bit of both would have been nice!
More product demonstrations such as packnplays, stroller, car seats etc.
